I am not good at reviews, but here it is.
I will be honest with you - when I first heard that Walgreens, Target and even some Walmarts were going to have health clinics, I wasn't impressed. I mean, I suppose it is alright, but why not just go to your doctor?
As usual, I now realize what a schmuck I was.
The Tuesday before I left for Ohio I went to the doctor in Midland. He diagnosed me with allergies, and sent me on my way with the instructions to return on Thursday if I wasn't better. I wasn't, but I also wasn't in Michigan. The only option available at 7pm (when I finally couldn't take it any more) was the hospital - until my SIL's mom remembered that Walgreens had a clinic. I went and am not a big fan.
I was treated immediately, given a coupon for one of the meds I was prescribed (saving my insurance $100, and me a $20 co-pay) and given lots of advice to help me feel better.
The best part? They called a few days later, just to make sure I was feeling better.
So while I wouldn't suggest using them as a family doctor, I think clinics like this have filled a need. I know that the next time I am sick and just want to get in and out, and back home to go to bed, I am looking for a Take Care Health Clinic.
